Chelsea Champions

Chelsea wrestled the Premiership title from Manchester United on the final day of the season with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Wigan.

What seemed like it could be an entralling finale with just 1 point seperating both sides had all the drama of Dan Brown's latest novel (sorry Dan) as Chelsea raced into the lead through Nicolas Anelka after just 6 minutes.

When Gary Caldwell was sent off after bringing down Frank Lampard after half an hour Lampard converted the penalty to put Chelsea home and dry.

None of which seemed to be a cause for celebration for Didier Drogba who showed his by now famous maturity (you know the kind that places him in Time magazines top 15 most influential people in the world) by throwing a strop because he wasn't allowed take the penalty.

In the second half he was allowed to take one(possibly after his mom had intervened)and he scored, adding two more to claim the golden boot ahead of Wayne Rooney who failed to score in United's 4-0 victory.
